WHO WILL REPRESENT ST LUCIA?

04/26/2025

Young stars and veterans vie for Davis Cup glory- Playoffs starts May 9th

The race is on as Saint Lucia prepares to select its Davis Cup team for 2025! From May 9th to 14th, fourteen determined male athletes will compete at the National Tennis Centre for a place on the national squad. The final team will consist of four players, ranked racket 1 to 4, who will proudly represent Saint Lucia at the Davis Cup event in Trinidad from July 25th to August 1st.

We salute and congratulate all fourteen players who answered the call to compete. Their commitment to Saint Lucia's tennis future is truly inspiring, and we are confident that their preparation and passion will shine through during the playoffs.

The contenders for the Saint Lucia Davis Cup team are:

  1. Jordan Hunte
  2. Maxx William
  3. Peterson George
  4. Ronaldo St  Juste
  5. Darrion Roberts
  6. Akeem Gustave
  7. Arden Rosemond
  8. Sirsean Arlain
  9. Alhil Cyril
  10. Kevin Deligny
  11. Sanjay Lake
  12. Denney Estava
  13. Zachary Duboulay
  14. Mc Colin Fontenelle

The stakes are high: only four will earn the right to wear the national colors on the international stage. This playoff is more than just a selection process — it's a celebration of Saint Lucian tennis talent. After an 18-year absence, Saint Lucia made its return to the Davis Cup last year, and we are proud to continue building momentum and opportunities for our athletes.

It's also particularly exciting to see the emergence of our younger generation. Three junior players — Alhil Cyril, Sanjay Lake, and Denney Estava — have stepped up to the challenge, gaining invaluable match experience ahead of a busy summer tour. Their participation signals a bright future for Saint Lucian tennis.

Following the playoffs, the final four players and a team captain will undergo team training before departing for Trinidad.

We encourage the public to come out and support these athletes as they fight for a spot on the Davis Cup team. Matches will take place at the National Tennis Centre. Look out for the full schedule — and get ready to cheer for the future of Saint Lucia tennis!
