The Saint Lucia Tennis Association is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our Vice President and long-serving manager, Mr. Digby Ambris, who departed this life on Monday, November 24th, at his residence.

Mr. Ambris was a pillar of the tennis community in Saint Lucia, a man whose influence, dedication, and passion were woven into every layer of the sport's development on the island. He played a critical role in strengthening the structure of the Association and was a longstanding member of the National Tennis Centre. His leadership and commitment were central to advancing programs that have shaped our athletes and our sport.

He was especially devoted to the grassroots program, tirelessly supporting every initiative that contributed to the growth and improvement of junior tennis. His belief in doing things "the right way" was evident in his unwavering adherence to strong procedures, proper governance, and strategic guidance. These qualities made him not only a leader, but a mentor who consistently upheld the highest standards within the Association.

For the past eight years, Mr. Ambris served with distinction, first as Second Vice President and later as Vice President. Throughout his tenure, he ensured that events, activities, and programs were executed with excellence, even stepping in personally on several occasions to guarantee their completion.

Mr. Digby Ambris will be remembered for his discipline, his integrity, his wisdom, and his steadfast commitment to the development of tennis in Saint Lucia.

His impact is immeasurable, and his legacy will continue to guide the Association for years to come.
